Boarding Schools: A Chinese Tool for the Assimilation of Tibetan Children



The Chinese government places hundreds of thousands of Tibetan children in boarding schools, to mold them into citizens loyal to Beijing. A New York Times investigation shows that the policy puts children at risk of emotional harm, abuse and loss of Tibetan identity.
