Cambodia leads a global fight against mine




Relaxed for 30 years of civil war, Cambodia is full of mine against Personel. Every year, they kill and injure civilians, despite the Government, which has destroyed 4 million mines since the 1990s. Today, more than 5,000 people across the country are working to neutralize millions of mines that have remained buried in the country, while one non -governmental organization has launched the use of rats to sniff them. In November 2024, Cambodia hosted a conference of the fifth audit of the Ottawa Convention, an agreement on a ratified 164 countries aimed at ban using these deadly weapons around the world.
