Relations between Russia and Iran have strengthened since the outbreak of the war in Ukraine.

Tehran has supplied drones and short-range missiles to Russian forces.

Now, the two countries are solidifying their alliance through a 20-year strategic partnership agreement.

The wide-ranging arrangement is expected to strengthen cooperation in defence, trade and technology.
