EU presidency full of pitfalls: Poland takes the helm amid global turmoil




The main leaders of the EU breathed a sigh of relief. After a Hungarian presidency marked by what they saw as harmful free diplomacy, the torch has now passed to Poland, which has held the reins for six months in a particularly turbulent time. There are huge questions in the EU about how to deal with Donald Trump, Western support for Ukraine, international trade, European competitiveness and more.
