Everton have signed promising Chelsea striker Launa Ribadera on loan


Everton have announced the signing of Chelsea forward Launa Ribadera on loan for the remainder of the 2024/25 season.

Ribadeira was recently Recalled from her loan spell at Division 1 feminine team Paris FCas Chelsea Worried about her lack of playing time. After making just two appearances for the French club since signing in August 2024, the west-London side have found a new home for Ribadera. Women’s Super League (WSL) Opponents Everton.

Brian Sorensen, 20, is the fifth acquisition of the January transfer window following the signings of Kelly Gago, Martina Fernandez, Hayley Ladd and Emma Watson.

The forward, who won the Division 1 Feminine Young Player of the Year award for her time at Paris FC during the 2023/24 season, arrives on Merseyside as a proven talent.

With Aurora Galli and Inma Gabbaro both suffering ACL injuries in the opening weeks of the 2024/25 campaign, Sorensen has used this winter window to boost his attack. The Danish head coach described Ribadera as “a great talent”, adding: “I’m sure he will be a good fit for us and will settle well in the WSL”.

The 20-year-old has ambitions of her own, and is certain her time at Everton will help her achieve her goal of becoming “one of the biggest strikers in the world”.

“I work every day to become the best striker in the world. Paris FC is my first club. I think it’s important to know other leagues, other championships,” the forward told Everton FC. “When I go on the pitch, it’s to play, it’s to have fun and I love the fight”.

Everton’s latest signings will get the chance to showcase their talents this weekend as the WSL returns for Gameweek 11. The Toffees will host Aston Villa at Walton Hall Park for a golden chance to claim 7th place in the league standings.
