Exclusive: Top French banks and a dirty gas deal in the Peruvian Amazon




FRANCE 24 reveals, in partnership with investigative media publication Disclose, RFI and the Pulitzer Center, that the French banking group Crédit Agricole holds a €240m stake in Repsol – the Spanish multinational company responsible for extracting gas in the Peruvian Amazon – and makes substantial profits from it. According to our investigation, the gas company is responsible for numerous environmental and health hazards.
