The Federal Commission of Commerce (FTC) on Thursday granted the President on Thursday Andrew Ferguson The authority needed to fulfill the executive orders of President Donald Trump, which reduce DEI programs at federal agencies.

The movement occurs after Ferguson on Wednesday denounced Dei, or diversity, equity and inclusion, programs as “a scourge of our institutions”.

That same day, Ferguson exhibited a series of actions to purge the FTC of initiatives related to DEI in the FTC. Since some of these would require the Commission’s votes, Ferguson said that the Commission would study a motion to grant the authority to comply with the federal agency in compliance with the president’s orders.

On Thursday, the FTC approved the vote motion of 2-1-2, giving President Ferguson the necessary authority to do so. Commissioners Rebecca K. Slaughter and Lina M. Khan did not participate in the vote.

Trump published two other executive actions on Tuesday addressed to DEI: an executive order to end discrimination in the workplace and higher education through race -based preferences and sex under Dei’s costume and a note to eliminate a policy of Biden administration that prioritized the contracting of the federal aviation administration.
