The company continues to post the latest information, including estimated restoration times (ERTs) on its Outage Map as available, based on the latest information from field crews. Safety Tips for Customers and Crew
Power of Georgia reminds customers of dangerous conditions following a storm, and always heeds the advice of local, state, and federal emergency authorities in storm-affected areas.
- Beware of Power of Georgia crews working across the state. If you are on the roads, please move to a lane for utility vehicles to stop on the side of the road ” this is Georgia law.
- Do not touch any fallen or low hanging wire. Warn those going out to play in the snow or clear debris to watch out for and avoid falling wires.
- Never pull tree limbs away from power lines or enter areas with heavy snow, debris or downed trees as downed power lines can be hidden. Customers should call 911 or Power of Georgia immediately if they see a downed or downed power line.
- Be careful when using a portable generator. Follow all manufacturer’s instructions, avoid using generators in closed spaces and be aware of electrical safety. Click here for more safety tips.
