As firefighters continue to fight Raging wildfires Amid clashes in five California counties, celebrities and residents in the Golden State harshly criticized government officials, including Gov. Gavin Newsom and Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass, for what they said were a lack of preparation.
Local law enforcement reports that at least 10 people have been killedMore than 10,000 homes and buildings have been destroyed by fires since Tuesday.
“If this were a business, everyone in the office would be fired,” Aurora Culpo, host of the “Barely Filtered” podcast, told Fox News Digital. “The fact that no one is willing to take responsibility and admit gross negligence is further evidence of the lack of real leadership in our state.”

Culpo, a Manhattan Beach resident from Rhode Island, fled the area Thursday with her children.
“This disaster did not come out of nowhere,” Culpo said. “We are well aware of the potential for fires and that we have Third World country preparedness in a place that pays the highest taxes in the world. Those in power should be forced to take responsibility and resign.”
Expectations of government officials should be “extremely high” and political accountability should be strictly enforced, she added.
“Their lack of capacity has resulted in the loss of lives, communities and billions of dollars,” Culpo said of Governor Newsom and Bass.
“The captain went down with the ship,” she said. “Resign.”

“In this case, I don’t care at all whether Newsom is a Republican or a Democrat,” she said. “Somehow he’s deflecting blame because he’s calling this a local issue.”
“What I posted on Instagram is that everyone who voted for Newsom’s reelection has blood on their hands, and I stand by what I said,” Culpo said. “This is a blue state. If we can’t hold the accountable Blame it on the Democrats, so who can we blame? If we can’t hold anyone accountable, then how do we think we should make changes?”
The mother-of-two added that she agrees with the president-elect donald trump A statement published in The Truth Society blamed the spread of wildfires on the “gross incompetence” of Bass and Newsom.
“I agree with him 100 percent,” she said.

Culpo said she is “all for environmentalism, conservation, LGBTQ rights and diversity,” but safety above all else should remain a priority in the hierarchy of needs.
“We’re not mature enough as a society to worry about things like diversity among our firefighters,” Culpo said.
“We are funding gender reassignment surgeries for prison inmates but we can’t fill the reservoir because we want to save Smell the fish,” she said.
California has allegedly paid $4 million in taxpayer funds for surgeries on transgender inmates since 2017, including breast augmentations and facial feminization surgeries, according to the agency. California Family Law Counsel.

The Sacramento-San Joaquin River Delta, California’s top water supply, is largely protected due to declining smelt and Chinook salmon populations.
“Whatever you think about the gender change of prisoners or smelt, the point is that our priorities are completely out of whack,” Culpo said.

With some blazes still uncontained despite firefighters working tirelessly to douse the flames, Culpo is taking her children to San Francisco, where her sister, model and former Miss Universe Olivia Culpo Poe and her new husband, NFL running back Christian McCaffrey, are staying there.
“I’m worried about my kids because of the air quality,” Culpo said. “These are very serious pollutants in the air that can cause long-term problems.”
