David Warner didn’t get the start he wanted in the innings and was hit on the head after his bat broke
However, Warner didn’t get off to the start he wanted in this innings. The batsman took a hilarious but nasty hit at the start of the innings that left many in splits. The incident occurred during the fourth inning.
Riley Meredith bowled a full ball and Sydney Thunder captain Warner drove hard. He mistimed his bat in center field, but what caught many people’s attention was that when the ball hit his bat, it broke and the handle was displaced.
What was even weirder was that the stick was so powerful that it almost hit him on the head. Warner initially had no idea what was happening and play was paused for a while before the batsman changed bats and resumed batting.
