Lando Norris ranked last practice in the Japanese Grand Prix as the grass around the Suzuki Tour continues to attract attention before the qualifying round.
The driver’s champion leader Norris spent most of the session trying to control his car, but paid 1:27.965, making his McLaren teammate Oscar Piastri just a few hundredths of a second.
It seems the only driver who has achieved the pace of challenging the McLarens to challenge pole positions in qualifying, 7 am on Sky Sports F1 Lifeis George Russell, one-tenth of the Mercedes of Norris.
Ferrari is ranked fourth with Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton is ranked sixth, both sides with McLarens.
The dominant world champion Max Verstappen assigned Ferraris in fifth place, but said his Red Bull was “scattered all over the store”.

Gabriel Bortoleto screamed on team radio after crashing into the nearly missing grass.
Verstappen’s new teammate Yuki Tsunoda is one-third from the ninth Dutchman, with Williams’ Alex Albon and Alpine’s Pierre Gasly in front of him.
Tsunoda was promoted to Red Bull debut in the junior racing event, which had only two races in the season.
However, the entire competition is unclear, as most courts in the field cannot complete the final qualifying simulation when the second grass fire danger red flag is left with seven minutes left.
For the same reason, similar delays occurred in the early stages of the meeting, and there were two red flags in the second exercise on Friday.
