King Karachi and the owner of Mur Sultan openly fought 5 days before the start of PSL

In recent developments, Karachi Kings boss Salman Iqbal has publicly criticized Multan Sultan boss Ali Tareen for his negative comments about the Pakistan Premier League (PSL).

The Karachi Kings defended the PSL amid Tareen’s claims that the PCB failed to deliver on its promises was a true “Made in Pakistan” success.

PSL 10 is scheduled to start on Friday, April 11 and end on May 18.

PSL CEO Salman Naseer said the upcoming season will “further enhance the wonders, promise bigger stars, higher bets and a celebration worthy of a decade of excellence.”

PSL team owner Ali Tareen tear PCB

Multan Sultan boss Ali Tareen questioned the claims of the Pakistan Cricket Council even if the PSL 10 is “bigger and better”. He said the board made a “hollow” commitment. Tareen doubted the smallest improvement, adding that nothing changed – same team, same game.

He asked, “How is the PSL 10 bigger and better? Someone explained it to me. What does it mean when we say these hollow words that this will be the best PSL? It will be the best PSL? It is the best game? It is the same game, the same team.”

Talin also urges PSL organizers to plan innovative ideas to enhance the alliance. Tareen has also previously condemned the board’s handling of Pacers’ Ihsanullah’s surgery.

Choose to publicly ridicule and disrespect this alliance – Salman Iqbal

Salman Iqbal defended Ali Tareen’s criticism in Pakistan. He urged Tareen to support rather than to ruin the game.

“Since the start of PSL, many people have doubted us, critics from India, and even some local TV channels. But what’s really hurt is when one of our own team owners chose to publicly ridicule and disrespect the alliance, despite its continued growth. PSL is the pride of Pakistan, a pride product, which is a winning star,” iqbal wrote on Xbal (formerly known as As twitter).

Salman Iqbal of King Karachi

Karachi Kings owner Salman Iqbal said Ary Communications (PVT) Ltd (ARY) received the league’s broadcast rights in Pakistan with a record bid, up 45% from previous deals. He pointed out that this is clear evidence that PSL continues to rise.

“From day one, ARY stood by PSL placing the highest bid to own Karachi Kings, building its image through our platforms, and broadcasting every draft live and uninterrupted. Later, A Sports stepped up and gave the highest ever bid for PSL TV rights a testament to our belief in this league. And this ramzan ARY offered their highest rated and biggest game show of Pakistan which is watched by millions Iqbal added that “Jetto of Pakistan” unveiled the PSL trophy.

“Salman Naseer and the PCB team are putting everyone in full force. We as team owners must step up our efforts, not negative and condemn the league. PSL is more than just cricket. It’s a success story in Pakistan. Every stakeholder, including Ali Tareen, including Ali Tareen, including Ali Tareen, including Ali Tareen, and including Ali Tareen, benefit from growth. Let’s build.

The Pakistan Premier League, founded by PCB in 2016, has six teams, including the King of Karachi and the Sultan of Multan, representing the major cities. It has become a key platform for local talent.

PSL promotes the sports industry in Pakistan. The 2025 season will be played in the IPL window, attracting international names like David Warner, Kane Williamson and Daryl Mitchell. Warner will lead the Karachi king.
