Tear Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) fast bowler Mayank Yadav has not yet regained his full fitness in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 season. Mayank Yadav may be licensed from BCCI’s Centre of Excellence in Bangalore to facilitate the participation of the Super Giants on April 14, according to the latest news reports.

The Lucknow Super Giants suffered an early setback as they suffered a calf injury during recovery and retained pacemaker Mohsin Khan was excluded. The franchise, called Shardul Thakur, is his replacement. However, the trouble of injury is not over, with Indian team Fast Powler Akash Deep dealing with the back issue.

Mayank Yadav in NCA – Reporting Progress

Mayank Yadav faced injury setbacks early in his career. He was retained by the Lucknow Super Giants for Rs 11 crore before the big auction. A new toe injury further delayed his comeback when he recovered from his back injury.

Mayank has made steady progress in the recovery of the National Cricket Academy (NCA), according to ANI Sports Correspondent Vipul Kashyap. He is currently at about 85% intensity and is expected to undergo a final fitness assessment on April 14.

Mayank Yadav made his debut on LSG last season

Mayank Yadav made his debut for Lucknow Super Giants last season. In his first match against the Punjab Kings (PBK), he registered for bowling in a 27-2 bowling match. The fast bowler played another match with Royal Challenger Bengaluru (RCB), where he won a 14-1 match.

Despite his promising start, injuries hindered his season, limiting only four games after suffering side pressure. Later that year, he made his debut in a series against Bangladesh, scoring four wickets in three matches. However, due to injury setbacks, his participation in IPL 2025 remains uncertain.

LSG’s IPL 2025 campaign starts poorly

LSG’s IPL 2025 campaign started poorly, with only one victory in three games. They had 209 runs against the Delhi Capitals and chased 192 with the Sunrisers of Hyderabad in just 16.1 matches. Their bowling team suffered injuries and forced the team to rely heavily on their batting lineup.

Reliance on key players such as Mitchell Marsh and Nicholas Pooran is already obvious. In recent matches, neither batsman has taken it out – Marsh goes out with ducks, the poor are fired at a crucial moment.

LSG was unable to increase the competitive total and was beaten by Punjab Kings at the eight wickets at home. They hope to regain the Mumbai Indians (MI) when they compete for their next match at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari vajpayee Ekana Ekana Ekana Ekana Cricket Stadium on Friday, April 4.
