Investing.com – Mexico stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Mexico, it rose 0.66% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session were Wal Mart de Mexico SAB de CV (BMV:), which rose 3.19% or 1.71 points to trade at 55.29 at the close. Meanwhile, Genomma Lab Internacional SAB De CV (BMV: ) added 2.69% or 0.72 points to end at 27.48 and Controladora Vuela Compania de Aviacion SAB de CV (BMV: ) rose 2.60% or 0.44 points to 17.39 late part of the trade.
The worst performers of the session were Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacifico SAB De CV Class B (BMV:), which fell 3.22% or 12.68 points to trade at 381.11 at the close. Grupo Aeroportuario Del Sureste (BMV: ) declined 1.72% or 9.75 points to end at 555.64 and Kimberly – Clark De Mexico A (BMV: ) declined 1.67% or 0.49 points to 28.83.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 100 to 44 and 17 ended unchanged.
Shares of Genomma Lab Internacional SAB De CV (BMV:) rose to 5-year highs; gained 2.69% or 0.72 to 27.48.
Gold Futures for February delivery fell 0.61% or 16.90 to $2,731.80 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, crude oil for delivery in March fell 1.29% or 1.00 to hit $76.39 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract fell 1.15% or 0.93 to trade at $79.86. in a barrel.
USD/MXN was down 1.28% to 20.51, while EUR/MXN was up 0.07% to 21.36.
US Dollar Index Futures fell 1.17% to 107.92.
