NCAA analyst Robin Lundberg talks about the rumors Paige Bueckers can be rejected as dallas wings If she gets drafted by them in this year’s WNBA draft.

On his YouTube channel, Lundberg didn’t quite believe the rumors and said he didn’t think the Bucs would snub the Wings.

He also discussed comparisons to Eli Manning, who famously refused to play for the then-San Diego Chargers before the 2004 draft. The Chargers ultimately selected Manning with the No. 1 pick and traded him to the New York Giants.

“I will say this, she didn’t look excited,” he said (7:23 later). “When the draw happened, it wasn’t the Sparks but the Wings, she didn’t seem excited. But if I had to bet, if I had to predict, if I had to guess, my gut told me Page wasn’t going to do that ( La Manning).

“But I’m sharing it with you because no one who’s been doing this for a long time has thought the same thing, or at least hasn’t heard the same thing. I’m betting against it.”

Lundberg noted that Bueckers didn’t actually say anything about it and that it was all just speculation.

“She (Buecks) said it was her University of Connecticutso let’s give her words some merit here rather than, you know, the time of free agency and all of that being rumor and speculation and all of that being thrown out into the universe and thrown out there to discuss, you know, the discussion back time four.

“But Page didn’t actually indicate that that might be the case. The implications of that come from what people around the league have said. So, all in all, if Page was going to do this, I think maybe she wouldn’t have a strong objection to it.” A little, but one would think the move would cause a backlash from players. “

Paige Bueckers to return to action this week
