Real Madrid suffered a major blow in the Alphonso Davies transfer saga


Real Madrid target Alfonso Davies is close to agreeing a new contract with Bayern Munich, reports have revealed.

Davis has entered the final six months of his current deal and had long been expected to walk away for free transfer This summer, Madrid are eyeing a deal with Bayern after extension talks stalled.

Earlier this week, it looked like Davis took another step closer to the exit door as his agent Departed Munich without contract on fresh terms. Liverpool, Manchester City and Manchester United All were expected to be contacted to discuss possible free transfers.

An agreement has yet to be reached but Bayern and Davies are now believed to be close to shaking hands and ending the long-running uncertainty surrounding the left-back’s future.

A new contract for Davies, therefore, would help Bayern’s hopes of tying Musiala to a new deal. The Germany international, a target for both Madrid And Manchester City have 18 months left to run on his current contract.
