Ruben Amorim has admitted he wants to see improvements from Alejandro Garnacho if the Argentina international is to return to Manchester United’s starting lineup.
Garnacho was dropped from the matchday squad for the Manchester derby last month alongside Marcus Rashford, but has responded well behind the scenes and has come off the bench in each of United’s last four Premier League games.

While Amorim did not hide his admiration for Garnacho’s ability, he did suggest that the young winger needs to adjust to the demands of the new tactical setup used at Old Trafford.
“He has talent,” Amorim said. “He needs to learn to play in a different position. He needs to play inside better.
“When he doesn’t have the ball he’s improved a lot in rebounding. But in doing that, sometimes he’s not in the right place to transition like he has been in the past. I like to defend and then be strong with everything. The team is the ultimate. will reach third place.
“He’s finding the best way to play in this system. He’s improving in training. He started the last game. Let’s see tomorrow. I think he’s changed the way he sees himself.”
