‘The Daily Show’ teases Obama for laughing with ‘future Hitler’ Trump at Carter’s funeral


The Daily Show mocked former president obama President-elect Donald Trump had a friendly interaction at former President Jimmy Carter’s state funeral on Thursday amid heated rhetoric against Trump from Obama and other political opponents.

Vice President Kamala Harris turned around to see the two talking cordially, then returned to the front with a stone-faced look on her face.

“I didn’t know if the funeral music was for Carter or for her. Kamala had the same look on my face when someone was talking behind me in the cinema,” she said.

Trump and Obama were surrounded by other notable figures, including former President George W. Bush, former Vice President Mike Pence, president bill clintonformer First Lady and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, and Presidents Biden and Harris.

Obama campaigned vigorously against Trump, saying he posed a threat to American democracy and recognized that “we unleash our worst impulses,” among other attacks.
