CES is known burning TV and laptop launchbut in 2025, there will be more than a few companies trying to make waves in robot vacuums, too. After years where it seemed like vacuuming, mopping, and self-cleaning might be the pinnacle of robot vacuum abilities, this year’s show introduced home robots with a full bag equipment – and connections.
Here are the robot vacuums that caught our eye CES 2025many of which you can invite to clean your living room later this year.
Roborock Saros Z70
Roborock’s flagship vacuum for 2025 is Roborock Saros Z70a circular robot vacuum on the outside, which hides a retractable “OmniGrip” arm that can pick up and move objects inside. The arm is capable of five-axis movement and can only carry about 300 grams, which makes it better for moving clothes and cables than anything too heavy. Roborock claims that the Saros Z70’s precision sensors, LEDs, and camera can recognize 108 objects that it can move or avoid, with the ability to learn up to 50 custom objects, too.
The only missing pieces are the price and launch date. Roborock plans to start selling the Roborock Saros Z70 later this year, but has not shared what the price of the new robot will be. A robot arm may not be cheap.
Dreame X50 Ultra
Dreame is one of Roborock’s rivals, and it has its own new flagship robot vacuum at CES. For one arm, the Dreame X50 Ultra has small wheeled legs for climbing (shallow) stairs. Dreame calls the feature “ProLeap System” and it currently says that the X50 Ultra can handle stairs that are 6cm (about 2.4 inches) tall. That’s shorter than the average household staircase, but still means the Dreame robot vacuum can reach places competitors can’t.
The Dreame X50 Ultra is available to reserve now for $39, which locks you in at a lower $1310 price and ensures a longer warranty and free accessories. The robot vacuum will officially go on sale on February 4 for $1700.
Eufy E20
Robot vacuums are convenient, but they’re still not good at reaching every corner of your home, which usually means you’ll need to have some sort of handheld vacuum as well. the Eufy E20 can eliminate that two vacuum conundrum. It’s a 3-in-1 robot vacuum that you can program to clean your house by itself, or pop out the vacuum part of it and use it as a stick or handheld vacuum for those hard-to-reach areas. places.
The goal is to own a vacuum that can adapt to all your needs, while still offering the benefits of a robot vacuum, such as a base station for automatic disposal of debris. Eufy seems to have pulled it off, and at a relatively cheap price, too. The Eufy 3-in-1 E20 Vacuum will be available on February 10 and will start at $550, including all its accessories.
Switchbot K20+ Pro
Swithcbot is known for smart home accessories like robotic curtain movers and button pushers, but the company has also offered its own affordable robot vacuum for the past few years. the Switchbot K20+ Pro is its latest model, but also a new way to integrate Switchbot products you may already own.
The K20+ Pro is a bit like a normal robot vacuum, with a rolling platform mounted on top. It can hold up to 18 lbs and you can connect an air purifier, security camera or fan to the Switchbot on top and get a vacuum that doubles as a general home robot. Switchbot says it’s also designed to be easily modded if you want to create your own weird connectivity to go over the top. The K20+ Pro is definitely equal parts crazy and smart, but it still has a lot of unknowns. No price or launch date beyond later this year. Switchbot plans to sell the K20+ Pro solo, and in bundles with some compatible accessories.
Dreame Retractable Arm Prototype
Roborock is not alone in showing off a robot vacuum with one arm. Dreame’s unnamed prototype The robot vacuum isn’t ready for sale yet, but includes its own claw-shaped arm for grabbing things, and wheeled “legs” for going over ledges like the Dreame X50 Ultra.
It is unclear when this prototype will become a real product or how much it will cost if it does, but it serves as a good example that if Roborock gets the Saros Z70, others will surely follow.
