Tottenham Hotspur’s injury curse has struck again with Dominic Solanke picking up a knee injury in training.

Solanke injured ahead of Saturday’s Tottenham game super sunday The trip to Everton, it’s unclear how long he will be out.

The Spurs striker has been a consistent performer since joining from Bournemouth in the summer for £65m, scoring 11 goals in all competitions.

Speaking before kick-off at Goodison Park, head coach Angie Postecoglou said: “Dom sprained his knee trying to take a shot in training yesterday. I’m not sure how serious the injury is.”

“It’s always a blow when you lose key players and obviously in the situation we’re in we don’t have the real depth to make up for that.”

Tottenham Hotspur have been plagued by injuries this season, with most of their first-choice defenders – goalkeepers Guglielmo Vicario, Destiny Udoji, Christian Romero and Mickey van der Veen was absent from both games.

Brennan Johnson and Yves Bissouma were dealt blows against Arsenal last time out, with Postkoglu saying Bissouma’s problem was “not bad, Brennan’s probably a little more serious”.

He added: “But we have 11 fit players and that’s enough to start the game.”
