Virat Kohli or KL Rahul, he is “Mr. Fix it? Former Indian star reveals

Former India cricketer Robin Uthappa has made shocking remarks on the ‘Mr. Fix’ controversy that rocked the Indian cricket world during the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Ahead of Australia’s final Test against Sydney, news reports emerged that a senior player was trying to portray himself as interim captain.

Virat Kohli is seen as a suspect in the entire controversy, with The Indian Express reporting that “Mr. Fix” is trying to take over the Indian team after Rohit Sharma’s poor performance with the bat.

Uthappa feels that Kohli or KL Rahul could be the suspects in this unfortunate controversy. While Uthappa did not name the player, he slammed the player for trying to disrupt the dressing room environment.

In an interview with Lalantop, Robin Uthappa opened up about the whole ‘Mr Fix’ controversy and revealed his own methods in the dressing room. He doesn’t think it’s right to bother players during a series or tournament.

“I’m the kind of person who speaks up when I have something. In the team, I know everyone. But when the tour, the tournament is going on, I don’t talk to any of them because every player has One’s own routine and mentality,” Uthappa said.

“At this point, it doesn’t feel right to get into their space. So I’m not going to talk to anybody during the game or message anybody, even if they’re playing good or bad. If they’re playing bad, then I do send a message to inspire them.”

“If they do a good job and set some records, then I congratulate them. But other than that I don’t interact. But in this case, I don’t know who Mr. Fix-it is. People say it’s speculation .For me, there is no smoke without fire in the Indian team,” he added.

Who is Robin Uthappa’s “Mr. Fix”?

When asked about the identity of the player, Robin Uthappa predicted that the player is a senior player and specifically named Virat Kohli and KL Rahul. He slammed the player for trying to create division in an important series.

“It’s senior players. “Probably KL Rahul, Virat Kohli. We don’t think Rahul is senior, he has been with the team for eight or nine years. In this sense, it is speculative. But there is another side to it,” said the former India opener.

“But for me, what do I care about, the Indian team is deemed right. Especially over the course of an important series. This is the most important series and even if that happens, keep it in , why take it outside? Families have differences at all times,” he added.

Rohit Sharma withdraws from Sydney Test

India’s regular captain Rohit Sharma is in poor form with the bat and has scored just 31 runs at an average of just 6.20 in the three Tests of the Test series against Australia. Rohit lost the final Test in Sydney due to poor form.

Jasprit Bumrah led India to a 1-3 series defeat against hosts Australia in Sydney. Bumrah was injured midway through the Sydney Test and Virat Kohli took over as India captain.

While Rohit did not perform well, Virat Kohli also had a disappointing series. Kohli has scored 190 runs in five Tests at an average of 23.75. Even when Rohit was captain, Kohli interacted with the players as captain many times.
